Former Explorers Currently Employed by the West Bend Police Department
The Explorer Post at the West Bend Police Department has been around for over 30 years. During that time, there have been hundreds of young men and women who have worn an explorer uniform and served the City of West Bend. While not everyone chooses to go into a law enforcement career, some of our former explorers have gone on to become officers in different local, state and federal agencies as well as serving in the U.S. Military. While we cannot fully identify some of those individuals for a variety of security reasons, we can recognize our current employees who started their career with the Explorer Program.
Detective Travis Vickney
Travis was an Explorer with the Dakota County Sheriff's Office in Hastings, Minnesota from 1985 to 1990.
Travis was hired in West Bend as a Police Officer in January 1993. In May 2011, Travis was promoted to Detective.

Brian was an Explorer with the Kaukauna Police Department in Kaukauna, Wisconsin from 1985 to 1991.
